Hello, I'm Aleksandra Gajić, although more and more people call me Lava.
I don't know if it's easier for them or if they don't know that it's actually my dog's name. I didn't think much, I named my creative work after her.
My story with design did not start as a plan, but as a curiosity…
In 2018, I decided to occupy a piece of cloud in the digital sky. I named that cloud the Lion.
I imagined it as a place where I would hang my works, ideas and imaginations. My creative online journal.
That same year, I got married and the first wedding invitations I created were mine, then for my friends and acquaintances. The whole process of creation was written down in my diary and it slowly becomes our common one.
The years brought experience, projects and people.
For me, design has never been just about how something looks.
For me, it's a way to tell a story, convey an emotion
and make something that someone will keep.
Today, in addition to working with clients, I also developed an editor that allows everyone to create their own invitation: fast, simple and without waiting, because I believe that everyone should be able to create something that is truly theirs.
My biggest goal is for everyone who works with me to feel a simple and clear process, the feeling that everything is just to their liking and the certainty that I approach each project with great care: whether we work together or create it myself through the Lava editor.
We don't just create visuals, but small parts of someone's important moments.
